Our Story
In 2015, Aaron Hicklin introduced the world to One Grand Books, a small yet ambitious bookstore nestled in Narrowsburg, New York, with a simple but compelling premise: shelves curated by celebrated artists and thinkers—from Greta Gerwig to Pete Buttigieg. In 2018, Hicklin expanded that vision with the Deep Water literary festival, an annual gathering that invites readers and writers alike to celebrate contemporary literature. That was followed by Grand Journal, a magazine of fiction, poetry, and essays. Grand Editions now adds to that ecosystem—championing emerging artists and writers.
